Hunan's industrial parks and enterprises have resumed operation successively in recent days. A number of projects were contracted in a centralized manner. On February 17 morning, Changsha County, the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the Exhibition Block and Airport Block of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Changsha Area held a grand ceremony for the commencement of 60 key projects and signing of 33 projects. The total investment of the 60 newly-launched projects reached 28.9 billion CNY, and the figure of the 33 contracted projects was 44.6 billion CNY. The new Lavida technological improvement and engine project of the SAIC Volkswagen will be put into production in June 2025. The annual output is estimated to reach 200,000 vehicles upon operation.
